SCHOOL BUS DRIVER APPRECIATION DAY
Miss Barbie, We are genuinely grateful for all that you do as our school bus driver. On this 2024 School Bus Driver Appreciation Day, we wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you for your hard work and for always getting Mill A students to and from school safely. Your dedication, kindness, and commitment to ensuring our students' safety on the road does not go unnoticed.
With gratitude and appreciation,
The Mill A School community

Smokey the Bear came to teach our K-2 class about wildfire prevention.

Today is a normal early release Wednesday.
The next full day on a Wednesday is on April 24th.

This Wednesday (3/27) is the first FULL-DAY Wednesday for making up snow day hours. The afternoon bus schedule will be the same as the regular M/T/Th/F schedule for both schools. Thanks for your flexibility!

Happy Pi(e) Day! Thanks to everyone who contributed pies, and a special Thank You to Mrs. Lundby for coordinating our Pi Day celebration!

Here is our 2024 snowy tree picture with our Bobcats!
-- This was taken last week, on 2/15/24. The snow is melting, but the snow piles are still pretty big in Mill A.

Mill A PTO needs volunteers for the upcoming Plant Sale & Pancake Breakfast. Contact millapto@gmail.com to sign up today!

Calendar note: All of our snow days have been used. There will be school on: March 29th, May 24th & May 28th.

Mental Health Counseling Reminder:
Chris Selcer, our behavioral and mental health counselor, is available to support our students. Parents can make referrals for their students by emailing Chris Selcer at christopher.selcer@esd112.org.

The Mid Reeves Library at Mill A School District has received a major update. Books can now be checked out electronically! MASD 3-5 teacher, Crystle Durham has spent many hours entering each book into the system, labeling them and reshelving them. We are excited for our library to be more user-friendly, more organized and technologically updated. Thank you, Crystle, for your hard work and your diligence to make this happen.

Hey Bobcat families! Information and permission slips for our first ever MAS after-school Pajama Party are coming home with your student today. Please check their backpacks so they don't miss out on being able to attend this fun event!

This afternoon Mill A School and PCIA will simultaneously conduct a campus-wide LOCKDOWN DRILL. Please watch for a follow-up email with more information about the use of Standard Response Protocol and additional safety measures being implemented at MASD. If you have any questions please contact superintendent Bob Rogers at 509-538-2700.

Friday (2/16) - LATE START schedule. It's a very different snow situation and forecast for today, and we are confident it will be a FULL LATE START day with regular end of day schedule times.

Reminder: No school on Monday, February 19th in honor of Presidents Day.

Thursday (2/15) - We missed the call this time, and have made the decision to end the school day early. MAS is being dismissed at 12:30, and PCIA classes and lunch will end at 12:45.
Modified Early Release Bus Schedule:
@ Home Valley pick up 1:25pm
@ SHS 1:40pm
Apologies for the hassle that today turned into, and we appreciate your understanding.

We have a lot of snow in Mill A!
Parents, make sure your students are dressed for the weather. Recess will be outside unless the temperatures are too low.

Thursday (2/15) - LATE START SCHEDULE. Hopefully that will buy the road crews and Mr. Tim enough time to plow the 15" of heavy snow we got here in Mill A!

A few moments from the K-2 Spanish class with Profesora Hoff.

Reminder: Friday, January 26th is an In-service day so there is no school for students.

Recess was extra exciting today! Mrs. Lundby brought in a bunch of sleds and they were enjoyed by all ages, including Ms. Herman. 🙂
