We wanted to let you know that your student(s) may need help carrying a pumpkin when they get off the bus, or when you pick them up. All students will have the option of bringing a pumpkin home today!
The costume parade this morning was so fun and our students got to trick-or-treat at 15 stations around our campus. We have been having a wonderful Halloween day at Mill A School!
Fall Festival is tonight! The fun starts at 6 pm!
Please help us show the most Bobcat Pride ever by wearing royal blue and gold!

Halloween at Mill A School!
Bobcat friends and families, you are invited to join us for our Halloween parade in the gymnasium at 8 AM on Tuesday, October 31st. Students should wear their costumes to school, the parade will begin shortly after breakfast. *Remember, no weapons are allowed at school.
Students will also have an opportunity to trick-or-treat around the school at 9 am. Mill A PTO will provide candy and treats.
As part of our Fall Festival festivities, all students had an opportunity to take beginner swing dance classes from Bobcat parents, Johnny Griffith & Hannah Dewees-Griffith.
We hope you will join us for this fun, PTO sponsored event in our school on Saturday, 10/28.
Thursday (10/19), Mill A Schools will be conducting an Earthquake Drill in conjunction with the Great American Shake Out. Please have a conversation with your child about earthquake safety (Drop, Cover, Hold on) or use this as an opportunity to tell them your own personal earthquake story. It is almost time for Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences at Mill A School! Please watch your email inbox for a message from SignUpGenius, and reserve your meeting time before the schedule fills up. (Info about PCIA conferences coming soon.)
Picture retakes for MAS & PCIA students are scheduled for Wednesday (10/4) morning 8-10am. Message from Peterson Photography: Retakes are not offered because of "wrong" clothes or hair, or braces in the original photo. If you have questions about retakes, please contact Shelly @ 509-637-4989.

To volunteer in our schools or chaperone field trips, paperwork must be completed in the school office every year. See Ms. Lisa in the school office to complete your paperwork today.

Bobcat Birthdays
We celebrate Bobcat birthdays as a whole school at the morning meeting by singing Happy Birthday. Students can pick a small birthday gift from the birthday bucket provided by Mill A PTO.
Birthdays can also be celebrated in the classroom; please make this arrangement with your student’s classroom teacher.
NOTICE: New date for the MAS Back to School Open House
Wednesday, September 27, starting at 5:30 with a Baked Potato Bar, families are invited to come meet teachers, check out their child’s classroom, and see what the students have been learning in this first month of school.
MAS & PCIA School Pictures are scheduled for Wednesday, September 13. Order forms are being sent home with students today, and please note the special caution against wearing green.
MAS students will have PE class with Mrs. Duffus every Monday.
All students are encouraged to bring a pair of athletic shoes with non-marking soles that can be left at school for PE class.
*Please let us know if you don't have shoes, we do have some extra (used) shoes available.
Every Friday the Fort Vancouver Regional Bookmobile comes to Mill A School!
